From Airborne Soldier to Local SCUBA Instructor

Our Story!
From a very early age Christian always wanted to be a soldier. He spent much of his childhood playing "army" with sticks & pinecones, always watching the military channel in his spare time. His favorite subject in school was History, because he loved hearing stories of the great heroes that made our great country free. His admiration grew & after high school he went to basic training & Airborne school to become an Airborne Infantryman. He served with the 82nd Airborne Division on Fort Bragg where he developed an appetite for the weightlessness that he felt jumping from planes.
After being honorably discharged from the Army, Christian worked for 2 years as a Corrections Officer, & served one year on a hostage rescue team for the North Carolina Department of Public Safety. During his time on the team, they won third place in the North Carolina SWAT competition, & took first place in the Hostage Rescue event.
In 2021, the underwater obsession began when Christian completed his Open Water Certification Course at an abandoned quarry in Virginia. He knew immediately that he wanted to make this into a career & the next year he joined a 9 month GI Bill Program at Discovery Diving in Beaufort, NC to become a PADI certified SCUBA Instructor. Since then, he has spent over 48 hours underwater & has over 150 dives & counting. His greatest joy is in exposing others to the underwater world & opening the door to a lifetime of exploration by teaching them the skills necessary to navigate that world safely & confidently.
